Is this place dog friendly??
The pastrami dip sandwich is incredible! Love the Bloody Marys. The staff is right on! Their fish and chips are awesome! I can't say enough good things about this place. And I live here!! How lucky am I?
MoreFunny to visit an Irish bar for clam chowder.... but I did. Thick and hearty vegetables with a cheese forward flavor. Wasnβt bad but better than average for the area. Menu boasts a variety of options for Irish seafood to more modern classics. Small cozy atmosphere centered around their bar. Nice spot for a pint and a tasty bite.
MoreWonderful place with.awesome beer, food & atmosphere. New favorite on Brookings!
Fantastic vibes and super attentive service. The meals were crisp and delightful. Will easily recommend this spot to friends and family. Reasonable prices and large meals. Keep it up.
MoreWe have the Fish & Chips with Cheese Curds for an appetizer. Only issue you will have here is eating to much the Food is amazing.
MoreNice atmosphere, menu has a big variety and service was friendly. Location near the Harbor. Sandwiches are large, look good. The Irish stew and Shepherd's pie were ok, but unfortunately we just returned from visiting Ireland and the flavors were better over there.
MoreSat outside. Horrible horrible service. Got apps 70 minutes after ordering. Cold. Dry. Horrible food. Just moved to town to bad they lost my business on night 1. The waitress kept stating how super crazy busy she was. How it was the fault of the new 16 yo hostess she had to train. Not something you tell your patrons. We sat at a dirty table and had to ask 3 times for it to be cleared. Finally cleared we then had to ask 3 times to get something to wipe it down. I even offered to do it myself. It's too bad it had potential.
MoreI absolutely love it here! Their drinks are well priced and extremely tasty. I also tried their Feta Bruschetta and I canβt stop thinking about eating it again- it was that good! Their fire pit outside is awesome too. I was also very pleased with how nice and friendly all of the staff was. I would definitely recommend this place!
MoreMy family and I took a little coast trip recently, and while at the coast decided to hunt for some lunch. This was the second spot we attempted, and the vibe was awesome. Normally I avoid appetizers, but 2 things caught my eye, and were ordered. The 'Savage Fries' and the 'Fried Cheese Curds'..... For my main course I went with the Reuben, which I have a hunch the bread may be from a local bakery or in house, but I'm not sure. It tasted mighty fresh, and was good thick slices. Everything was amazing! After that I finished it off with their Baileys Cheesecake. My fiance had some of their chowder and was impressed! Now, I must say that I left feeling a little overstuffed, but the food was so good, that I have NO REGRETS at all. The next time I'm over on the coast, I will be stopping in again. I've even recommended Fat Irish to my friends as a sole reason for making a coast trip. All I have to say, is Well Done Fat Irish, Well Done!
MoreThis place is great! The food was well priced, fast, and delicious, and the portions were large. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, kind, and FAST. We popped in with a 6-year old just as they were closing up the brunch menu and starting lunch, so we were told there was a bit of a wait and were offered a fruit cup for the little one. We sat on their dog-friendly patio where several folks had sweet pops and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thanks, Fat Irish! We'll definitely be back!
MoreAlways excellent food and service!! Calamari, clams chowder in bread bowl, pastrami dunker, The Irish Lord!!! Fish & chips great also
MoreThe food was actually pretty good but the manager was Very Rude. I recommend ordering to go.
MoreGreat atmosphere with amazing food and drinks. Hats off to the chef and bartender. Staff was super friendly and very accommodating. They've made all the necessary arrangements and cleaning to keep everyone safe during COVID. ππ
MoreGreat prices and great food loved every minute of it!
Understand the covid-19 is in effect, appetizers were ate and food not that good
If you occasionally like to get relief from cabin fever by dining out, but, want to do so at an establishmant that honors city, county and state mandates on customer face mask wearing and seating at mandated distances, avoid going to the Fat Irish Pub. Aside from staff wearing of masks, their is little to no enforcement of customers doing so.The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the food and drinks are good. If you're not concerned, party hard.
MoreIt was ok.food but our srver was amazing
Nice venue, good drink menu, good food. Hands down the worst service I have ever encountered. We sat down at 1230 and were told the kitchen was switching from brunch to lunch. The board in the restaurant said brunch went until 130 but who cares. Took 30 minutes for anyone to take our order. At 50 minutes waiting on our food, or an hour and 20 minutes at the restaurant I decided to write this. Got our food after an hour of waiting. Way too long if they expect to remain in business.
MoreThe food and drinks here were exactly what we were looking for. My buddy and I are cruising down the coast to Mexico and hitting breweries in the way. This was a highlight so far. The lovely lady that helped us, Emma, couldn't have been better with her suggestions. I can't wait to come back for more!
MoreWhat a great time! Big shout out to the crew at Fat Irish Pub in Brookings, Oregon! With these crazy times, you guys are doing a fabulous job...even though we cant see your faces, theres a smile in your eyes as you hustle the day away. Thank you for being there, your hard work is appreciated! Great food, tasty beverages and a warm welcome...everything you want in a dining experience! Everything we've been missing!
MoreThere is a reason that the word kitchen comes before pub at Fat Irish Kitchen & Pub because the food is the star. The clam chowder along with garlic bread is made in house and it shows. I had the fish and chips and was worried when I saw the amount of breading until I took a bite. The breading has a flavor of it's own that makes each bite more delicious. The service I received was laid back, but in the relaxing and friendly way and he checked on us often. I can't wait to go back and I recommend a visit if near Brookings.
MoreThe service here is fantastic, such a friendly group of people working here, the food & drinks are great too!
MoreHands down one of the best blood Mary's I have had. Their jalapeno clams are also a must have! The bar tenders are awesome and make for an all around amazing dining experience! Cant wait to come back!
MoreDelicious and unusually crafted menu items. This spot came highly recommended by the hotel staff and we weren't disappointed. The waitress was friendly and attentive. They were happy to seat us regardless of closing time and had no problem with the children. The kids enjoyed the colorful artwork on the walls.
MoreFriendly atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating. .ocean breeze. .
Probably the best lunch or dinner spot in Brookings. Has a nice tap selection which includes cider, porter and stout. Food is good with a selection of soups sandwiches and fried foods.
MoreExcellent for and service! Fun place to eat!
Food is great weather fantastic and the beer was very cold. Great all around
Food is great. We had chowder, chef salad, fish and chips, and the Irish stew, along with a couple of beers.
MoreExcellent experience even with all the Covid BS going on, great food and service.
MoreWe stopped in Harbor Oregon right outside of Brookings. We had a great lunch there. I had the Ispini Penne pasta which was made with garlic, with a butter and white wine sauce and sauteed kielbasa which I would give a 4 out of 5 stars. It just a little salty. My wife had Jalapeno steamer clams with a classic Louie sauce and she gave it a 5 out of 5. The prices were really good. The bathrooms are really clean and well kept. I would definitely come back when in town. The only change I would make is the placement of the speakers. If you sit in any of the corners the speakers are right above your head which makes it a little distracting.
MoreOutstanding place for great Irish food! The service was very professional, atmosphere enjoyable, food was so delicious (Sorry the appetizer was enjoyed a bit before the photo was taken..lol). Last but not least they have a chocolate "pup"cake promotion where the proceeds go to the Local Humane Society. Way to go and we will be coming back
MoreMy first time here amd it wont be my last. Excellent food. Great service!
Good reviews brought us here as we're traveling through the area. Awesome food! We shared the Celtic kabobs and clam chowder...delicious!!! Service was friendly and fast. Good prices. Definitely glad we found this great, little place! Oh, and you must try the Guinness cupcake!!!
MoreCame here for dinner on a business trip. The fish and chips were tasty and not super greasy. The beers were cheap on happy hour! 2 dollar pints for their specials! Definitely will be back. It's good solid pub food right in the harbor. What more could you ask for!
MoreGreat food, try the bangers and mash or the Reuben. Also has great outdoor seating.
MoreAll of the food was excellent! Prices aren't super cheap but I think fair for what you get. Chowder bread bowl, fish and chips, and the big sandwich were all super good. Staff was very friendly even after my kid spilled his water twice lol. I'd definitely recommend this place.
MoreAlways great food every time we have gone, great staff!
I can't say anything bad about this place! The fish was the best we have ever had anywhere! The beers & bloody Mary are tasty! The staff make you feel like close friends. I came out to visit family from Utah. This place makes me want to move there just so I can hangout with the cool kids at Fat Irish. I will be back in a few months. This will be my 1st stop!
MoreMy wife and I stopped here for lunch. Let me preface this his by saying what a great little bar and the drinks are awesome. The staff are fantastic. With that being said I'm going to give a honest review of our lunch in the hope that it helps the kitchen to be aware of what they send out. We ordered the Shepherds Pie and the cheesy pub burger. The burger was fine it was your typical burger. The Shepherds Pie however was awful, it was slightly gelatinous, Luke warm and very bland. More of a watery, light brown gravy mixed with ground beef and some frozen bagged mixed vegetables. It had no flavor and the mashed potatoes were lumpy cold and flavorless. I will give them another try because they are great people.
MoreAmazing food. Amazing staff. Overall great experience. You can't go wrong ordering anything on the menu
MoreExcellent food great service and atmosphere
Fat Irish Kitchen and Pub is located in Brookings, OR Harbor. Is a delightful place for food and drink. We had Sheppard's pie, Irish stew, bangers and mash and of course, clam chowder soup. Every drop and morsel was devoured. Close to the harbor, its a fun place to relax then stroll through the area. We went to the Pirate Festival (happening that weekend). The Coast Guard was having an open house and you can just look at the sea and boats and ships around the areas. Got to Fat Irish and enjoy.
